Todd graduated from Bowman High School in 1986 and went on to get a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Business and Marketing at Evangel College in Springfield, MO. Right after college, Todd began a very successful career in sales and management. Being one of the top multi-million dollar sales producers in his industry, it allowed him to work his way up to the top of management with one of the most prestigious companies in the United States.

In 2001, Todd and his family decided to move back to North Dakota to raise their children in a great environment. Before Todd made this major decision to not only leave his job, but his industry, he realized that he would have to find an industry which would allow him to meet his high standards for business. He found a perfect fit with Sparling Construction, because not only was this Todd's second passion, building and remodeling, but Todd also found the same values, goals, and reputation that he was used to being affiliated with.

Todd purchased Sparling Construction in July of 2012 with the goal of bringing the company to new levels. Todd is actively responsible for the overall operations of the company, including marketing, consulting, personnel, purchasing of new product lines, and leadership. Todd enjoys creating synergy both internally with the employees and externally with the clients.

Todd and Lindsey Freitag form the dedicated team leading Homes & Shomes, bringing together their individual strengths and shared commitment to quality.

Lindsey joined the Sparling team in 2018, bringing a keen sense of organization and management skills. As the company's CFO, she handles crucial aspects of the business such as billing, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, scheduling appointments, and customer service. Her attention to detail ensures that the company’s daily operations run smoothly.

In their personal time, they both enjoy spending time on the river, visiting their family in Minnesota, and cherishing time together with their children and grandchildren.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Craig Freitag brings over 30 years project management experience to Homes & Shomes in North Dakota

Craig brings 30 years of Project Management experience to Homes & Shomes. He works directly with clients from the beginning conceptual stages through the project completion. He recently moved back to his home state of ND after spending 25 years in Silicon Valley working in the Hi-Tech industry. Craig has four grown daughters and one grandson with more on the way.

JESSE FREITAG
DRAFTING & DESIGN

Jesse graduated from the University of Mary in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He has recently taken over the roll have handling our in-house drafting and design, which allows our clients to visualize their projects with 3D Renderings before we start any construction. He also manages our company's graphic design, website, and social media accounts. Jesse also helped launch Sparling Construction's new division, GoUniversal, which specializes in Aging-in-Place, Universal Design, & Home Accessibility. In his free time, Jesse enjoys collecting Comic Books and spending time with his wife and two boys.

OFFICE MANAGER

Alicia recently rejoined our team here at Sparling Construction after a few years away, and we are so happy to have her back! She helps out in the office with bookkeeping, appointment scheduling, and other administrative tasks.

We are excited to welcome Eric to our Sparling Team! With his experience and dedication to quality, he's a valuable team member who will be sure to play a pivotal role in our ongoing success and growth. With over 20 years of construction experience, Eric is a true veteran in the industry. His journey began as a laborer and steadily climbed through the ranks, from a skilled foreman to eventually founding and running his own company. Most recently, he excelled as a project manager in the realm of reconstruction.

As our Chief Estimator, he will be involved in many different key areas of your project, which will include helping with Sales, Estimating, Purchasing, and Project Management.

Our carpenters are highly professional and, without a doubt, they have been a vital part of our success story. The total combined experience of our carpenters is over 100 years.
